the awed couple

If you know me, you know I don't watch TV (with exception to my beloved House, MD, and 24...and recently LOST), so don't be misled by this post...

Have you ever seen the eposide from King of Queens where Carrie and Doug get dumped by their friends for another couple that is more convenient to hang out with? This causes them to look for a new couple in any place from the paint section at Lowe's to using an annoying couple that is obsessed with them to meet other people. Anyways, it is a very funny eposide about looking for a compatiable couple to hang out with. Anyone who is married knows how this goes; you have to like both the husband and the wife to make it work...it really is more tricky than dating as a single person :-)

So Ryan and I find ourselves couple dating, if you will, and so far our schedules really haven't allowed us the time to meet said couples. This made it all very exciting today at work when a co-worker asked us out to dinner with he and his wife. Woo-Hoo! My co-worker seems like a pretty cool guy. He and his wife are about 30, former Texans too, and they seem to like the same types of activities as us. So there you have it...we might be making friends, haha :-)
